Imitating Christ Jesus, the Saviour of the world!

Has the thought ever occurred to you about just being curious and trying to see a glimpse of some content that’s inappropriate, such as pornography?

Sin comes as a very nice suggestion but when you give it the benefit of the doubt, or play “lose guard” that’s when you see its sharp, ugly, nasty teeth, ready to bite.
In my own experience, I stumbled on some unclean content while doing some research on the Internet one time. (Look, when they say curiosity kills the cat, you don’t understand.). Before I realized, I had left my research work I  was busily doing and given in to that thing that just came as a thought, thinking foolishly on my part that there’s God’s grace available and it was just something small I wanted to know or see, giving in to that fleshly craving.

The truth is, yes there’s grace but after you have fallen into that pit, guilt covers you. You’re emotionally tied, that you feel so ashamed to go back to God especially because you knew that it was a dangerous ground you were treading on.

Listen to this; sin must be radically dealt with. There’s no calmness when dealing with habits and attitudes that do not please God. As a Christian, you ought to FLEE from youthful lusts, pornography and masturbation being the most common especially among the youth. Do not think you can get your way around it. If you find yourself in an entanglement with any lustful desires and pride, for example, SEEK HELP before it’s too late.

Hear me out clearly; seek HELP. Talk to someone. Don’t be shy to get someone you can talk to, someone you can trust. Get an accountability partner and open up because you won’t want to know where these sinful desires would end you; utter ruin!

God In His wisdom put us in a community as Christians and there’s one thing we share in common as Christians, no matter our race, ethnicity, gender, colour, etc. And that is the bond of love in Jesus Christ as we come to believe He is Lord and saviour who lived, died, was buried and rose again to life that we may also die to sin and live with Him.
It is very important that as Christians we are each other’s keeper. Of course, it is your business. How isn’t it your business?

Another thing is that you should check your prayer life as you deal with that habit. The devil fears a prayerful Christian. Pray about whatever it is. Pray about stopping that habit because God hears you when you pray. No! He’s not looking to scold you but rather, to receive you back on track in repentance. He yearns to have that fellowship restored(if you know the parable of the prodigal son in the bible).
The devil is the one who will be saying, “God is done with you! You call yourself a Christian. Look at what you’re doing. Shameless sinner!”
He is the accuser of the brethren. He does this after tricking you like he did to Eve in the garden of Eden. He’s a cunning fox and a snake. BEWARE!!

The Spirit of God is He who you hear stopping you or pushing you to desist from that thing cuz it’s bad(He does it through your conscience sometimes). He loves you and wants the best for you.

Here is the conclusion of the matter:
Sin must be dealt with RADICALLY. Do not toy with sin at all because “sin will take you farther than you wanted to go, keep you longer than you wanted to stay and cost you more than you wanted to pay.” The Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:22, Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart”.

Don’t wait, just run!
He who has ears, let him, let her hear.
